Inferencing Strategies
Literature Review
The research base that supports what I implemented came from multiple professional textbooks and research studies that were reviewed during my Literature Review process. In order to increase comprehension, many strategies need to be incorporated into daily instruction. The best way to infer what has happened in the story is to activate background so that students can think about how characters could be feeling, seeing, hearing, etc.

What was Learned and How it Affected Instruction
Through my research, I have learned strategies to make reading comprehension meaningful and worthwhile. The three strategies implemented have made students feel connected to their reading and as a result my instruction has become more purposeful and much more in depth. This is all due to the fact that students want to learn more and think deeper about the actions of characters.
